Carmeline F. Del Vecchio, age 64 of Waretown died peacefully on Sunday September 11, 2011 at Southern Ocean County Hospital in Stafford Township. She was a head banking associate for Bank of America in Egg Harbor City. Born and raised in Long Branch, she had lived in Toms River and South Carolina before moving to Waretown 3 years ago. Carmeline was predeceased by her father Michael Lisanti and her brother Anthony Lisanti. Surviving is her husband of 42 years, Dennis J. Del Vecchio; two sons and daughter in law, Marc Del Vecchio of Greenville, SC; Adam and Miranda Del Vecchio of Toms River; her mother, Ada Lisanti Del Vecchio of Tinton Falls; 4 sisters, Marguerite Chiafullo of Tinton Falls; Antonietta Silvestri of Oakhurst; Funzie Strollo of West Long Branch; and Teresa Krelik of Tinton Falls and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15 from 4-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch. Funeral Friday 10 am at the funeral home followed by a 11 am Mass Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Long Branch. Fllowers will be accepted or memorial donations are requested to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave, Norwalk, CT 06851 or NYU Langone Medical Center, c/o Mazumder/ Multiple Myeloma Research, 160 East 34th Street, New York, NY 10016. I have such clear and wonderful memories of marching with Carmeline in the color guard. Another memory is that one of her sisters styled my hair for my wedding 45 years ago. Carmeline and Dennis were a perfect match!
