Conover Gaskin
1970-01-01 2004-04-15My husband, Ed and I lived across the street from him in 1973. Donna, Dana and Conover were the nicest neighbors you could ever have. I am very very sorry to find out that he died so young. My heart goes out to his family.
tribute by Eileen MaherMy memories of Con also go back to football. When we were sophmores, one of Con's cleats fell off and left a sharp post than no body realized. We were in scrimage and Jerry Moser (QB) called a running play over center (my position). I made the block on the right guard and my right leg remained extended. Con ran over it and opened my calf with 17 stitched to close it. He always remembered this all thru HS and felt bad. As the Senior fullback he would run over right or left guard which Sim or Bobby and I double teamed. I think Con was the leading rusher in our Senior year for over 7+ yards per carry. RIP, Con
