John P Addeo 33 a chef, died yesterday at Burlington County Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly Township of injuries in an auto accident Jan. 1.
Police said he was returning from work at about 1 a.m. when his car hit a guard rail on the Garden State Parkway in Stafford Township and turned over three times.
Mr. Addeo lived on Chesapeake Court. He was born in Long Branch and lived in Toms River before moving here a year ago.
Mr. Addeo was employed as a chef at Carroll's Caravelle Inn, Manahawkin, Stafford Township. He had worked for a number of other restaurants in the shore area, including the Town and Country Inn, Lakewood, the Surf restaurant and Ilvento's both Long Branch, the Shadowbrook, Shrewsbury, the Horn and Musket, Brielle and the Homestead, Spring Lake Heights.
Mr. Addeo attended Boston University and the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, N.Y.. Surviving are two sons, Michael Patrick and John Francis, both Bayville Berkeley Township and his mother, Mrs. Anna Yepello Flannery, and brother, Michael, both Long Branch.
The Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch is in charge of arrangements .
John was my big brother , 6 years older than me . I looked up to him for everything . He was a great brother and friend . There is an empty place in my life where he should have been , and I miss him so much .
